About Me

My name is Jason Petermann, and I am a Christ follower.

My driving passion in ministry is to make an impact relationally in the lives of people.  For that to happen, and though it may sound like a cliché, I need to be a genuine and authentic worshipper of God so that I can model a lifestyle that would be far more influential in the lives of people than anything I could do or say.  I love forming relationships with people that are in all stages of their life.  Learning about people and where they are at in their spiritual journey really drives my passion as a relational builder.  Seeing them take their next steps in that journey gives me a great sense of fulfillment and purpose in ministry.

Loving God, loving people and serving both is what it means to Follow Hard after God.  There are so many things in this world that can become a distraction that it can be difficult to follow after Christ. There are also many distractions in the church that can make it difficult to follow after God. We can get so caught up in rules and rituals that we forget that it is Christ we are following after, not any man and his ways.

Christ told the Pharisees that by making their rules and ways as important as God’s Word, that they had made God’s Word ineffective. I pray every day that that will not be the story told at the end of my life, but instead, that I will have been able to impact lives so that they are able to take their next step towards Christ.
